Kaisen Tei

Went to a new casual dining concept by the MOF group last week - Kaisen Tei.

I was pretty elated cos for the record, I love Japanese food and my favourite food is sashimi!

Kaisen Tei offers donburi with freshly cubed sashimi, seafood and vegetables.

Donburi:
Aburi Salmon Don
Ikura Don
Hotate Don
Negitoro Don

Signature Kaisendon $16

Signature KaisenSalad $16

There is also a DIY menu to choose from if you are not a fan of sashimi.

DIY Menu:
8 types of fish - Salmon, Maguro, Hamachi, Mini Hotate, Tako, Ika, Ishigaki, Mekagiki
Choice of salad or rice
4 signature sauces- Kaisen, Yuku, Wafu, Yakiniku
11 toppings - Fukake, Kurage, Negitoro, Unagi, Mentaiko, Tamagoyaki, Tobiko, Corn, Tempura bits, Wasabi, Salmon
1 side - miso soup

DIY Don that we customised

On top of that, Kaisen Tei also offers a curry menu:
Chicken/Pork Katsu Curry
Ebi Curry
Korokke Curry
Ebi Curry

The Ebi Curry that we tried $15.80

Other than the plastic bowls which might look sad, I find that the ingredients used are really fresh! Enjoyed my rice bowls thoroughly and I think this is also perfect as a healthy takeaway meal for diners on the go.
