after a 1mth long hiatus. im back to blog.
well actually its juz becoz today is a rainy day and i hv no mood to study for my exam next wed and feel bored.
so i juz wanna tok bout my technology and world change (twc) module which juz ended on mon!

it was a Yahoo! Innovation Challenge whereby our class is randomly split into grps of 6 to tackle a problem the ppl from Yahoo! gave us.
A REAL problem. given from 2 guys:
Head of Audience of Yahoo! Southeast Asia
Director of Distribution & Business Development of Yahoo! Southeast Asia

and so after we got to noe the qn we onli got less den 24h to solve it and give a presentation. seriously our twc prof is a crazy guy. but well. it was fun.


so tis is my assigned grp 15F: wei kheam. kevin. me. cheryl. tian jie. khine.


and gdness. can u imagine. giving a presentation to 2 twc classes. prof. and 2 impt ppl. in an AUDITORIUM? that would nv happen in a yr 1 or 2 of a smu student.




i was realli scared b4 goin up. but u noe wad. they said it was my best presentation as yet in twc....like i realli looked confident. mygosh. i was trying hard nt to let my legs shake can...
oh well. but im glad i hid my fear well. hahA!

but. the Yahoo! guys tot we were great. and said they are gonna give us high marks for presentation!!! omg omg omg. thanx to wei kheam for presenting so well

seriously. being in soon loo's twc class has nv been easy. everyone noes that his class is simply crazy. tedious. intensive.

but. after all tis. i nv regret it. it has been a great experience: a life lesson learnt. and not juz theory based and juz slack it thru class like other profs do.
and i daresay thru tis training in twc. the rest of my smu yrs would be.

he sang 2 songs tt day. and ohmygosh. it was so sooo gd to hear him sing live. which den i realised he is such a powerful singer lah! exactly like CD. better even. i dun tink i train 20 yrs will be as gd as him. seriously. u noe it when the singers are gd when they sing live. and wads more. he slogged hard for 10yrs b4 becoming wad he is today. though nt as popular as jay chou or wad but still at least still got abit of success.

well. but at least alls well for my module biddings next sem. got all the mods i want. whereas other ppl dun even get theirs even after 3 tries.

they say birds of a feather flock together. such a big grp. but neither of us have won champion for any competition yet. wahaha. at most onli get into finals.

i just wanna sing was at jurong pt. sometime end of last yr. ive posted some stuffs on it b4. so im not gonna elaborate.


showquest'09. din go for audition because i was semi finalist for i just wanna sing. yep semi finalist onwards for that competition gained u thru access to showquest quarter finals. which took place on mothers day at liang court partyworld.







and we had to take some fotos b4 the competition commenced.

randomly. for youthbox competition at the heeren. the audition result was shocking coz some of us din get in. although we were semi finalists for other competitions.



u see. sometimes. person A gets in for tis competition. person B doesnt. but for another competition. B gets in. but A doesnt. all tis hiatus makes me realise that...

unless ur realli pro (like realli pro. as pro as the winners of project superstars and the likes) or else. u hv to be realli smart in song choice. so that by some play here and dere. even if ur nt as gd. u can dikam and get in. waha tts wad i always get away with. well just to say that song choice. and ur condition for the day. realli makes a big difference to a downfall. or uprise. hahA



but singing the same song again and again makes me bored.

and den later headed down to music garage to prac for my wildcard round for their garage battle 2. i got into wildcard. tt means if i win it i will compete in the semis.



the thing about garage battle is that it is 1 vs 1 PK. they will choose 2 persons to sing their song. one after another. and the judges will decide out of the 2 hu gets into the next round to compete with the rest of the contestants hu oso won their PK.



sorry. but the office dere is magnificent for camwhores and crazy actions. and i juz tot of kakashi...

cookie-making revisited. now my impression and memory of baking cookies is so much more etched in my mind.

AND

i juz realised my home microwave can bake too...

YEA

dumb dumb. so tis wk shall ask eliz to cum over to bake finish the remaining self-raising flour. although im scared w/o melissa's supervision we end up burning the cookies...

but with experiment cums better solutions!

here is the recipe to remind myself again!!


self-raising flour: 150g
sugar: 75g
margarine/butter: 75g
water: dikam
vanilla essence: 1 teaspoon
chocolate chip/chocolate rice: 60g
m&ms: some

easy easy. 10 easy steps to baking cookies.

step1:
mix self-raising flour+sugar+butter with hand well. u noe ur gd if they feel like bread crumbs when mixing



*note that butter must be soft enuf to be mixed. if nt u just heat it up abit

step2:
using spoon. pour water bit by bit and mix with hand until everything becums one nice dough




step3:
drip some vanilla essence. a few drops will do (it gives the cookies tt nice smell). continue to mix with hand


step4:
pour the chocolate chips into the dough and mix well.

when u mix well enuf the chocolate chips will melt into the dough: the the white dough will turn more yellowish and brown.


step5:
line the plate with a layer of oil (to prevent the cookie from sticking onto the plate after baked)

step6:
use shape cutters and start shaping ur cookies! line them on the plate but nt too close




step7:
preheat oven. put cookies into oven. 180degrees. around 20min. 1 plate might nt be enuf so u can stack 2 layers.


tis it realli depends on experience. it might be 18min it might be more. depends on the oven oso.

dun foget to camwhore:


step8:
cookies baked. take fork and faster dig them out b4 they stick on permanently vv hard to take out(wear gloves pls)


step9:
dun so fast eat coz damn hot!

step10:
enjoy the cookies!! woohooo!!

xtra: we decided to experiment abit and put the grape colouring into 1 portion of the cookies:

went jogging in the early mornings today! omg. with my parents!

reached bedok reservoir and den started at 7am.

finished at 745am.


it was nice breathing in the morning air. great feeling.
but eventually i tink no kick wan. coz mum din hv the stamina to run so in the end we walked alot. but well. its a gd start. i haven been jogging for 1 whole sem le. the sch gym juz seems so near yet so far.

ive alr gotten my sports shoe now so pls if anyone wants to jog pls ask me. HAHAHA.



ok but anw. after jogging we went breakfast. and sheng siong supermkt. it was so cool! dere wasnt a single teenager dere!

onli aunties. ahmas. and small kids with their diapers still on. yea.

den i became like a mad dog scouting for sugar. vanilla essence. and chocolate rice to bake cookies. read the next post to find out more.

oh well. but after gg hme it was the bath and den the bed. with so much weighing on my mind the other nite i had onli 3h of slp.

but anw. regarding the singing workshop or formula drift.

although i harbour a secret wish that the formula drift would somehow let me marshal for the 2 other days. the person-in-charge said he will get back to me.

i am officially an event marshal for formula drift 2009. which i have to commit for 3-5 july.

but

there is oso the singing workshop on 4th july with a special person. (i shant disclose anymore coz i realli dun want anybody more to join) i still nd time to tink it thru! but winnie's gonna register for all of us by sunday....which is today.....

its like once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. HOW


i noe the formula drift is a yearly thingy. but u nv noe rite. wad if next yr they decide to NOT let smu take part in the marshalling leh den i will nv have the chance to do it ever again if i dun go tis yr! and even if i buy the $15 tix to watch it next yr it wun be the same coz marshalling is a totally different experience!!!


BUT


if i dun go the singing workshop...(even if dere will be another similar one in the future) it will nv be the same again coz singing changes all the time! u get wad i mean? U DO? well if u dun forget it. but i can learn sth valuable from the workshop leh....i can get to use the lesson. u noe.

ya. shit lah i feel sooo shit.

i cant seem to let go of either one.

and although i saw a 3d gold orb ring in far east plaza last time. it looked quite cui on the inside. was hollow and doesnt look like it deserved to be $30+!!! anw it was a far cry from the below. so luckily din buy



and the bangle i bought last time from a spree was spoiled after a very short while. SOBX. so i wanna look for another one!


best is if i could have a set like tis hor.



charm bracelets are nice too! seee normally charm bracelets just have a normal rod-like thing but the vivienne westwood one has an arrow!


but i nv see tis type of bracelets in singapore b4.



ok back to rings. bought a vivienne westwood ring at $25+ from 2cm at far east. first time i buy such an expensive ring. but instead of heart being pain. i was damn happy (even though its a fake) bahh. ive decided i would continue to hunt for other rings like the seal one above. and the 3d locket one like the below. arent they lovely!



and earrings. dangling ones or 3d ones.



got alot of those small small flat ones u see at 3 for $10 shops. ive bought b4 but no use lah my hair covers it all anw.


ohhh and a new addition! saw a vivienne westwood keychain at far east plaza that day again! selling at $20+ siao lorz so ex for a fake. no way.



i dunno if the real one has keychains. but if there is. i might consider buying...

vivienne westwood shoes are outrageously HIGH. and wads the thing tt attracts me most? they look so gothic!



but for the more normal ones which are wearable. they are still vv high.

izzit bcoz tis brand is punk and quirky? and more provocative which is why singapore doesnt have?

but i googled and found out that a standalone corner dedicated to Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania collection will form part of multi-label boutique Tyan's boutique. which is in ion orchard!!

tis is wad i have been chanting for the past 4days at the motherhood fair. working for a certain beauty centre...

damn tiring can. my legs almost broke.

luckily near our booth got a plasma tv that always repeats finding nemo and hi-5 song and dances.

and since it was a motherhood fair. luckily got alot of cute mascots like dinosaurs...lions...giraffes and weird looking thingys walking ard. they make my day.

ohhh...and not to forget tis booth beside us selling interactive media tools for children. their tv keeps repeating the same children songs to help them learn better.

HAHA. tis is from d`marquee at downtown east. tt time having meta retreat dere and dere was tis sale gg on and so i bought it for $13+ i tink. but i won enuf money in mahjong later on to make tis shoe $2+ onli!!!! isnt fantastically nice. but at least its comfortable and can bring me to sch...and can u believe it? its the 1st time i hv pink shoes! although i hv a red one which i nv wear. rotting in the shoe cabinet...

yea. adidas sports shoe. i bought it for a freaking $76 from queensway. sports world. thanx to leonard hu helped me bargained! hahahA. but anw every shop in queensway was having some sale. so tis was the cheapest i could get. sigh.
