Ask a Korean to recommend a theme park to u and they will most likely tell u either Lotte World or Everland. Lotte World is more convenient as it is accessible by subway, while u have to take a bus to Everland.
Our cheapest recommendation /transport mode to Everland: Gangnam Station exit 10, walk a straight distance to the Kakao Friends shop and u should see a line of people waiting for bus 5002 (almost a 1h bus ride)
Can't believe I didn't even visit Everland during my 4-month exchange in Korea last time. I had free tickets from KLook this time round and it became one of the highlights of my trip!

I am not a theme park person, but Everland totally changed my perception. The tickets were affordable (it is much cheaper than Universal Studios Singapore), rides catered for all ages (from mild to thrill), safaris and shows for everyone, and activities during winter were just my favourite! Seriously, one day isn't enough to experience everything so you must plan the places that you want to visit wisely!
First up, a mandatory shot at the entrance.
Some photo spots along the way into the park.
The prelude to the Panda World:
And finally, I meet the 2 star pandas of the park!
The only thing about visiting Everland in winter, is that the T-Express (made up of wooden tracks) is closed. But that's ok, cos I can still take the other rollercoaster, which has a few drops and two 360degree turns. I almost died.
A sneak peek of the famed T-Express from our lift gondola:
Do visit Snow Buster, which is only available during winter. I loved this so much that we went on the individual and group rides a few times!
Take a trip to the Lost Valley, which I think visitors shouldn't miss out on.
The ride in Lost Valley goes on both land and water. (kinda like our SG ducktours)

Lots of land animals
There's even an opportunity for u to get close to the giraffes!
Then we went to the other animal enclosure: Safari World, where we sit in enclosed buses, because well, we are in very close proximity to to the animals.
Randomly went past a couple doing their thing:
The white tiger was literally just on the ground, and soo near to us.
Loads of bears, grizzly bears that are actually cute when they listen to the driver's commands.
For the kids and animals lovers, be sure to catch the Sea Lion show.
And also the Treasure Island show. Which is basically a show with the normal pet animals like parrots, cats, dogs, guinea pigs.
The polar bear enclosure is just nearby
For kids and adults who want to take it slow, visit the carousel which is oh-so-pretty. The carousel soundtrack was quite catchy. And this is when we realised that almost every attraction has their own theme song (so much effort!)
And the Magic Garden, which has many photo spots at every corner. It was still winter and thus the Christmas decoration.
At night, be sure to catch the Moonlight Photo Party, a parade where all the mascots and brilliant lights come alive.
You can even take photos with them at the end of the show.
The mascots are quite ugly imo. But it's ok. Everything else in the theme park made up for this.
However, I think this Moonlight Photo Party parade can be skipped if u want to spend time on other rides in the theme park instead.
Probably because it was winter, the queue for the rides were quite short and thus a shorter waiting time for us. I am quite sure the queue times would be so much longer in spring or autumn!
