Dior Forever Perfect Cushion

Attended my first ELLE event of the year at Dior MBS last Saturday, where we:

- Learnt how to achieve that flawless perfect luminous matte complexion with Han, 1 in 16 Pro Team member worldwide and Singapore's most decorated makeup artist.
- Had a quick complexion touch up with the new Dior Forever Perfect Cushion.
- Played with the Dior lip sugar scrub

There is also a complimentary rhinestone personalisation service if you buy the new cushion now.

Personally I'm more interested in the lip products like the wide array of lipsticks, and also the lip sugar scrub which I thought was amazing. It was a self-vanishing sweet exfoliating lip balm, which means that you can feel the exfoliating beads on your lips when applied. After you purse your lips, those beads will vanish!

Yep looked at some of the Dior Lip Glow products.

The store had a lovely section dedicated to fragrances too. Played around with them a bit. I still have a bottle of the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet EDT at home!

Thanks ELLE Singapore for having me once again!

Also attended the media tasting at Honolulu Cafe Singapore within the same shopping mall.

We got to try a variety of their Hong Kong Cafe (Cha Chan Teng) Style dishes:

Curry Fish Balls

Chicken Wings

Polo Buns (aka Pineapple buns)

French Toast

My favourite dish of the day, surprisingly, was the French toast. (I'm not a toast person and would normally not order toasts outside)

Ya you sort of get the idea.

Anyway, the highlight of the day was actually the egg tarts and beancurd tarts.

The beancurd tarts were launched just weeks ago and unlike the famous flaky egg tarts, the beancurd tarts are best eaten chilled.

There is a tendency to compare between this and the beancurd tarts from established brand Le Cafe. You can try both and decide which is nicer.

In celebration with the coming Valentine's Day, Honolulu Cafe introduced a "Yuan Yang" set which comprises of 2 egg tarts and 2 beancurd tarts.

"Yuan Yang" Set: $5 each (U.P $7.60)

Hair with Chez Vous

Had the opportunity to colour my hair with Readen Chia from Chez Vous in Oct, and the theme was "work-friendly" kind of colours for working professionals.

Just look at the gorgeous hair colour, not forgetting the temporary curls that he did for me.

My colleague who sits beside me told me that she sees a fox whenever she turns over. I kinda like fox colours!?

Anyway, it was my first time doing highlights to my hair (cos I have the impression that highlights makes one look ahlian), but boy was I impressed with the colour Readen did.

This technique is called a colour melted sombre and you can find out more here.

Anyway my hair has since changed colour again due to another campaign they are having next year and sadly I changed from this "fox" colour to ash and had to bleach my hair for that. More on that next year.

It is definitely harder to manage bleached hair but since I'm at it might as well do more bold colours?

YOLO.

Perth TPFF 2016 Day 6

Sundays are for Fremantle.
So we went there for some exploring.

Everyone told me that I had to visit Fremantle while at Perth. And I'm glad I did. It had a different feel from the city and I liked it very much.

Our driver drove us to Cottlesloe Beach for some phototaking first as we were still early for our next programme.

Our driver drove us to this place Bib and Tucker for lunch with AJ.
The food was gooood, service was gooood,
and I'm so glad AJ recommended this place to us! I also tried rabbit meat for the first time and it tasted just like chicken. So... I shall just stick to chicken in future?

However, there wasn't anything to shop for in Fremantle;
I had thought that there would be quirky souvenirs I could buy back for my friends but nope. The only souvenirs they had there was the boomerangs and dreamcatchers. U know, all those mainstream kinds that tourists normally buy.

At Fremantle market, the selection was also weirdly items that I would not buy.
And we decided to dabao the famous fish 'n' chips back to the hotel.
There were 3 restaurants selling them though and they all claimed to be "No.1", "Best" etc.
So we decided to buy from Joe's and Cicerello's to find out for ourselves!

Cicerello's

But the journey back to the hotel took more than half hour and our food became soggy and all. But alas, it was still good, better than any other fish 'n' chips I've had in Singapore my whole life!

Anyway, the venue for our last night here in Perth actually changed to Perth Cultural Centre.
It was a unique experience and recent runway shows tend to go more towards this type of style rather than the usual normal runways.
However, I still prefer the lighting at the usual runways cos the spotlights here didn't do justice to my camera's photos!

All previous shows were held at Perth Concert Hall and that was just a 3min drive from our hotel.

First runway show for tonight: Flannel

Last show for the week: Closing Night
It was a dramatic close as we had a live symphony and opera singers instead of the usual cd-played music for the shows.
I liked how every dress was elaborate and exaggerated for this closing night and it was my favourite show in the whole TPFF.

It was the last day and I had to get a photo with Drea!

Day 7 was just breakfast at McD with our driver since it was a public holiday and every cafe was closed :(

And that concludes my week at Perth TPFF!

Also do check out my TPFF round-up on ELLE.sg here! teehee.

Perth TPFF 2016 Day 5

It was D Day!

I am supposed to cover a Wine story for ELLE Magazine; like seriously the physical magazine! So today was planned specially for that purpose.

We visited some wineries...

Want to find out more about some of the wines? Then be sure to get your copy of ELLE Magazine in newstands... January next year.

Anyway, we had lunch at the most picturesque place ever - Sitella Winery. Just look at the view we had while having lunch.
These oysters are the best fresh oysters I ever had!
And since I am in Australia, I tried kangaroo meat.
Yep tastes like beef but it is way cheaper than beef in Australia. Kangaroo meat in Australia are from the wild to control their population, so u don't really have to worry about animal cruelty or what not.

Sitella Winery
100 Barrett St, Herne Hill WA 6056, Australia

We also visited Whistler's Chocolate.
I love their chocolate pretzels!

Whistler's Chocolate Company
506 Great Northern Hwy, Middle Swan WA 6056, Australia

We went to Mount Lawley next since the others wanted to check out thrift stores and the tour guide recommended this place.
However, we didn't find any decent stores and ended up admiring flowers along the stalls
and eating at this cafe.

Health Freak Cafe
609 Beaufort St, Mount Lawley WA 6050, Australia

Show for tonight: Empire Rose

I love love loveeee this collection. The runway setting and all was set up so nicely. Just liked everything about this.
